I would use an fmq motif that would flatten out the white areas and leave the colored bands raised. Maybe SITD for the colored triangles and ribbon candy on the white?

Mind if I copy this idea? I just love how cheerful your quilt is!

Pretty, pretty, pretty! I would do a diagonal SID in both directions.

I was thinking of something like this- continous quilting designs https://www.pinterest.com/judy3333/q...line-patterns/ mainly like the second one showing curved lines using a walking foot.

Since you are wanting to get it finished, I'd suggest doing an all-over design.

Diagonal straight lines would not be my recommendation, as that is the trickiest thing to do...without a plexiglass ruler....at least for me.....even have to be careful with ruler...
i would think a not to difficult panto would be the easiest. Something with swirls, but not too close, so you can just float along.......also a good width of panto will make it go faster for you. Let your gazilion hst design shine, you did a good job! Jmho

I think it's lovely! I'm fixing to start my first HST quilt, my sweet nephew requested a "really cool triangle quilt" and together we picked out fabric. I'm super nervous about it, but seeing your lovely creation is very inspiring!!! How did you cut all those out?

Love the quilt!
As to quilting it, the previous posters have given some great ideas.
I'd add that you could do ribbon candy quilting, or vine/leaf type or stars linked by a small meander - any/all of that stuff in the white space would anchor things. In the centre parts, something that skirts the edges of the square, or a geometric arch type of thing -

or.... treat the whole thing like a sampler and let your imagination run through a variety of treatments .
