Does anybody know of a brand without the sheen? I'm going to use it for some applique, but in the past, for quilting, I haven't been happy with the shine of it.

Thanks all.

I just bought some Aurifil invisible thread and it doesn't look very shiny. I bought it through jhittle (http://jhittlesewing.funoverload.com...ew_items.html. However, it is a very large spool and I don't know how much you use.

I looked further on the net and here is a smaller spool from another vendor(http://www.redrockthreads.com/misc-t...ble-thread.asp).

Thanks, I've bookmarked that one. I found Guterman's and C&C too fat. Have smoke YLI and it has a slight sheen but is very nice and fine. Need clear though, so I'll look more

Love your avatar!!

Oh, wait, no, that is "colonial". The Superior is exactly what I need. Will have to look somewhere else, though. They seem to be out of it!

OK, found it about 14 mi from me at Columbia River Quilters. Unfortunately they take online orders only, so I ordered it!

I got a newsletter from Superior saying MonoPoly is either now available or will be momentarily.

Thanks again, Linda. I ordered two spools from the local shop for only $1.90 postage so I'm OK. Did like their site, though and will check it out again. Paid $7.99 ea. so may have paid too much - didn't notice the price at Superior!

Oh good, just checked and the price is the same. Phew!!
