I was wondering if when using the Accuquilt Go if you have a lot more scraps than by cutting with a rotary cutter?
I like to use as much of my material as possible. Does the cutter make more scraps and if so how do you use them? Cut them into certain sizes or just wait until you are ready to piece something?

Yes it does make more scraps than using a rotary cutter, if you like to make wonky scrappy quilts you could use the scraps made by the acuquilt go for sure.
Do you have one yet? I don't but 2 of my quilting buddies do.

How much waste you get depends on how you use it. The demos often show a lot of waste, probably because the demonstrator doesn't want to have to fiddle with positioning the fabric on the die while on camera.
I cut my fabric 1/2-inch wider than the die I am using, which gives me two 1/4-inch strips of waste per cut. Right now I am using the 1-1/2" strip die, which cuts 5 strips at a time. That means 1/2" of waste for every 5 strips. If I were rotary cutting, I would have a similar amount of waste from re-squaring the edge periodically -- maybe just slightly less than the Go! Of course, that assumes I don't make a mistake and rotary cut one of the strips the wrong width (which I have been known to do).
For me, any slight increase in waste is made up for in the increased accuracy of the cuts.

I don't have much waste at all. Usually 1/2" strip if that much. I don't cut more then four layers so I don't need that much extra around the die. I found if I cut more then four layers I need at least 1/2" extra. There are many video on Youtube showing how to place the fabric for min. waste.
