Who has it? Worth the investment? Better than rotary cutting with mats? How large is it and where do you store it?

I have the Accuquilt Go! It's fairly small and portable. It's easier to store the cutter than the dies. The dies are all different sizes and need to be stored upright, not stacked on top of each other, because the weight can damage the cutting part of the die. I store mine in a closet.

Whether or not it is worth the investment probably depends on how many quilts you make and your health. It is definitely worth it if rotary cutting is hard on your body. Other than that, the advantages of the Go! are: (1) the cuts are more accurate, especially for triangles and odd shapes, and (2) you can cut most shapes faster with the Go! (The exception might be strips, since these can be rotary cut pretty fast with a Shape Cut ruler.)

I prefer the Go over rotary cutting because of the accuracy; no more worrying about keeping that ruler from slipping in the middle of a cut!

It still takes time to use the Go! I have to pre-cut the strips I am going to run through; however, these are rough cuts and not precise. I still have to iron fabrics before running them through. I can't run more than 4 layers through at a time. When the cutter first came, it was stiffer to turn and I could do only 2 layers at a time. Still like it bette than rotary cutting, though.

I really don't understand the Accu tingy. What are the dies? Are they like plastic sheets that you cut for templates? Do you actually cut shapes out of your fabric strips on this tingy?

I have rulers that will do just about anything I want. I buy that clear stuff that you put under the ruler and it doesn't slip one bit...it is great.

Yes, the machine cuts the shapes out of the fabric for you. It is a real help for those of us who are rotary cutter challenged, which I most certainly am at this stage in my quilting career, lol.

The dies are steel blades that cut the shape as it is rolled under a roller bar.
I have a studio and the dies are wood with the steel blade and the foam. with the GO! they are a hard plastic base.
Sort of like a cookie cutter!

Sorry got side tracked from the original questions
Studio is much larger than the go(which is portable)
Mine sits on my island along with the cutting mat and the ironing station.
dies are stored in the shelves sold by accuquilt
my hubby mounted them to the wall and the side of the island
I make hundreds of quilts and kits with these so yes well worth the money, but if you only sew occasionaly it may not be for you.
