Love those old beauties also. I love my high-tech machine but when I sew on grandma's machine there is just something different.

Love the old machines. I do more stitching on the old machines than I do on my newer ones. They just stitch so much better.

How lucky for you - great finds - wish they had more of them available in MS.

I love your machines, esp. the black 301. I have a tan 301A short bed and would love to add a black 301. I have a Rocketeer in a cabinet and love how it looks.

I used her for the first time today picked up yesterday from Singer Repair guy...and she purrs...What all the ladies say is true abt the 301...OH MY sewing with her for the few mins I had time to test her out was wonderful and your all right a perfect straight stitch....Haven't sewn with the 301A yet but suspect it will be the same...Tried the Elna after I oiled her and she also is sweet...Now I just have to find bobbins for the "redeye"...oiled and cleaned her today and she's running fine. So much fun but I ask how many machines does one need...I know I know...as many as you want and can afford.
