Default Adding binding to a V shape edging. Need help please.

I am binding a mantle quilt that has squares set on the diagonal therefore creating a "V" shaped edge. I can do the outer V with no problem, but the inner V isn't working for me. I hope someone understands what I am trying to say and can give me some advice.

You stitch right up to the V, leave your needle in that spot and manipulate the fabric until it lines up with the next section and begin sewing again. A good site for odd angle binding tutorials is www.ankastreasures.wordpress.com

First stitch around the 'v', carefully turning the corner to keep the 1/4 inch seam. Clip the v to the line of stitching, but DO NOT clip into the stitching. Now you can straighten out the v by pulling up and folding the fabric behind it. There will be a little v shaped gap in the seamline, but if you are careful to stitch your binding on about a thread in from where you made the first line of stitching, you will have that taken care of. Clear as mud? I could show you much easier that try to explain it.

Thank you for your help. I watched your tutorial. I am saving it to explore later. Thankfully I only had 4 inside corners to do. Thanks for answering.

Animas Quilts has a great binding tool to use with many different angles.
