I wonder (as I procrastinate here online with my quilting friends - Hahaha) if anyone has trouble getting going on a project?

I have a single bed quilt that I'm trying to copy (from a store-bought one) and cannot get going. Is it because I don't want to "design" the copy? or that I don't want to cut into the fabric that I have bought? I can't put my finger on it... why am I so bothered by this?????

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

When this happens to me it is usually because I am not truly taken with the pattern. Sit back; take a deep breath; look through your patterns and now GO (smile).

Then I will take another look at the project... Wish me luck!

For me? sometimes it is just a total lack of motivation in general LOL I have to kick start myself to get going, then it is full steam ahead :D:D:D

Happens to me all the time. An unfortunate combination of procrastination, lack of motivation, and no confidence. (fear of making 'a mistake')

I started a quilt top for my son soon to be 9 yr old, he started nagging me and now I lost my gusto to finish it.

When I'm resisting starting (or continuing) a creative project, it usually means I need to let it sit for a bit because there's an idea for a change simmering.

Might just be me. :D
