afraid to start some projects?

I've 1/2-way completed cutting & piecing blocks for a quilt I'm making for my mom (only 100 more to go). I have to Insist to myself to keep working on it. I think it's because I'm not pleased with the color scheme I've chosen. I keep having 2nd thoughts: "It's not too late to change your mind..."

For me it's usually that I'm either not sold on the pattern I've chosen or I'm questioning one or more of the colors I've picked. I hate to cut fabric for one project and then change my mind because I'm afraid I'll have all this cut fabric and I'll never find another use for it!!! We can be so hard on ourselves for the smallest things.

I have to agree with the hidden doubts about the project theories. Because when I am in love with a project, I can't stop thinking about it and planning it, and can't wait to get started on it.
When the pattern, fabric, and colors are right, I'll bet you'll be ready to get going.

If you are not sure if it is the pattern or the fabric, I'd suggest to lay out the pieces of fabric and leave them out for a while. As you walk by the stash check your feelings when you see the fabrics. Look at them in different lights. See if one of them jumps out at you (in a good or a bad way). That is how I audition my stash.
If you decide that you like the fabric, then see if you can tie the fabrics to the pattern and lay them out in a way to compare to the sizes in the pattern - then repeat the exercise.
