I just bought these Grip strips and they are fabulous!!!!!
I've added Grip Strips to all my rulers. http://www.guidelines4quilting.com/GripStrips.html They almost never slip. It is one of the few notions that actually does what it claims.

I use the Slidelock ruler for the cut, so it doesn't matter anymore if my rulers will slip or not. Now they are only used to position the Slidelock, which not only doesn't slip, it holds the fabric from shifting, and protects my hand from injury, too!

Didn't know there is a difference. But like many others who commented I also dislike the green and yellow heavy lines which make it impossible to see thru. Wonder if they test market the "over 40" customer for input. I sold all of mine for a fraction of what I paid for them because they were useless to me.

I've made my own sandpaper 'dots' using a paper punch. I store them in an old Rx bottle and apply glue to the back of the dots then apply to my rulers corners & maybe at 4" increments a couple of hours before using them. I haven't had to re-do any of them and you can make quite a lot of dots from a small piece of fine sand paper.

Exactly!! What difference does it make if it slips on your mat? The grippy part is there to create more friction on fabric, soft, textured fabric, not a hard smooth mat. You hand will slip more on the mat than it does on fabric, too.
