Do ya think it would be good??

Ok I was in that 10" square batik swap. I did 2 so I have 24 10" squares. My mom saw them and said that they would make a beautiful quilt. Do ya think it would look ok to either do 1/2 square triangles or to do the whole square and make it kind of a scrappy batik? Since Christmas is right around the corner I need something that is super duper easy!

I made a few christmas quilts all 6 1/2 inch blocks but I used a design. I love them and was able to make the tops in a day. I added a border to one of them...not this one to make it a bit bigger. These make really nice lap quilts or twin size quilts. I use flannel for the backing.

i'd go for hst's. you could put two together and draw a diagonal line from corner to corner and stitch on either side a 1/4 inch seam and cut on the drawn line. then you have two hst's. then just have fun putting them all together.

Carolaug, thanks for the website for the ten minute blocks. I just watched the video and I think I can make them. I'm still so new to all of the quilting techniques and being self taught, I often don't know what to look for outside of my quilting magazines.
