We will be swapping sets of 50. I have volunteered to host the swap since DDuMouchel won't be able to do it. I'm waiting to hear back from PatriceJ for approval. I was planning on sets of 50 unique squares (all different). We had about 12 people interested from this thread, and may pick up some more once we announce the swap. So I am thinking that we could handle swapping up to 8 sets of 50. I will swap baggie for baggie. You can have the same fabrics in each baggie, just no duplicates in any one baggie. This is preliminary only... will finalize details when I hear back from PatriceJ. But the sets will definitely be of 50 squares each.

So sorry to hear about your DMIL, DDuMouchel. It's not an easy task to take over.

Thanks for stepping in sewbizgirl. I'll start cutting 2" squares!!

Thanks, sewbizgirl! I know I can do 4 sets of 50 (I'm half way there already, actually). I am not sure about 8, although that's what I'll need eventually for the project I want to do with them. I'm sure I'll end up with some duplicates in my own project, but will be careful to not duplicate anything within the sets I send to the swap. Thanks again.

Hang on a bit there, Anne P... we are not "official" until I get the go-ahead from PatriceJ, the board moderator. I have messaged her twice with no reply yet. Perhaps she is offline this week or something, but I'm sure she will get back to me when she reads my messages.

Also, remember this is not the official swap thread. This is just a thread started by DDuMochel to see how many would be interested in swapping. When we get the okay I will post an official thread and you can pm me for my address to send your squares sets to. I'm hoping DDuMochel will be able to 'play' with us too, even tho she had to step down from hosting.

Hang on... I'll let everybody know as soon as PatriceJ messages me back.

You are welcome... Patrice has been in touch. Waiting for her approval of my proposal and then I will post the swap.

For those who are already cutting, be sure you use only 100% quilting cottons (no blends) and no homespuns, please. Rotary cutting is preferred, for accuracy. Thanks!
