Any suggestions to make this quilt top pop?

I like the simplicity and the clean lines. I'm not sure it lends itself to anything too cutesy or fussy, but it has great potential for some inspired quilting. Maybe a backing and binding with some pizzazz?

I don't know if you have a long arm or not, but I KNOW I've seen a panto of a bear walking thru the woods. I think that would really complement the quilt, without overwhelming it. And, BTW, I DON'T think this is a "blah" quilt. Even if you don't have a longarm, you could still get the panto and use a light table to trace the panto on the quilt and finish it on your DSM.
Here's a link to a "close out" price for the panto: http://www.sewthankful.com/BearEtcPantoPattern.html

Your precise workmanship makes this quilt pop as it is. Quilting it with variegated thread will add some more dimension to it, but please don't make it too "fussy." This guy thinks it is just fine as it is.

I don't think it's blah at all. I agree that with quilting you are going to see an entirely different finished quilt. Sometimes we overwork things when it was fine to begin with. IMHO
