As a newbie I am a little unfamiliar with the patterns. I am looking for a pattern I think its 2 large blocks one going vertical and one horizontal to give it a "weave" look.
    Can anyone help?

On the quilters caches site, it says the block is 12" but I read through it and the larger block is made of 16, 3-1/2 inch squares cut from strip pieced lengths. But, I would think that you could simply enlarge the individual blocks and it would make the finished single block even larger. You could sew 3 , 3 inch strips together which would make it 8 inches unfinished then cut 8 inch squares and sew them in the arrangement shown. (I think if I am doing the math correctly it would make them about 7-1/2 inch finished.)

Forgot to add this was putting three, 3-1/2 inch wide strips together that would give you a 9" finished block.
