    Default Anyone know this pattern?

    Anyone know what this pattern is called?? I'm thinking it would be good for a large panel quilt.

    It is a variation of the square in a square pattern.

    To me it looks like a center printed panel surrounded by two borders, the inside one not pieced and the outer, wider one pieced. No pattern necessary: just put borders on a panel, decide on the sizes of the outer border squares and strip piece them.

    If you used 2.5" strips, the blocks would be 6" by 8" finished, if that helps.

    It is a square in a square but using a rectangle instead. Probably the accent border is making the length to be divisible by the size of the block. Thanks for posting. I might just do this border for a baby quilt I have been trying to figure out an easy way of piecing a border.
