I need to buy some new quilting frames. I am wondering if anyone knows where I can either buy the lumber or the frames already made. I am in the western area, I live in UT but go to NV a lot.... please someone give me an idea of where to get them. I know the Lowes and Home Depot don't have long enough lumber to make them and the set I have now is from my grandma and has seen better days, they are just holding together by a splinter.

Hannahsmom, have seen lots and lots of frames on the 'net. Just type quilting frames into your search engine and you should come up with several. Just love the ones that fold "up" so that they can be stored behind furniture. I tend to hand quilt in the family room to be with my people and they sure would be nice. Seems to me that I've also run across sites with kits to be made with you supplying the lumber. If you don't have any luck, post again and I'll find some sites for you. :-)

Here are a few sites that I thought were interesting:
www.hinterberg.com; quiltingframes.com; pleasantmountain woodworkers.com; www.jasmineheirlooms.com; www.rquiltingframes.com. A couple of them showed hardware and plans and let you supply the lumber. Good luck and let us know what you find!
