Default Artistic Quilter SD by Janome

Does anyone own this quilting machine? I just purchased one, the front-facing model with 18" quilting space. Unfortunately, the instruction manual that came with it is very minimal, and I can't figure out why I keep getting knocking noise when running it.

Thanks,

If you bought this from a party party, I would take it in for service immediately. Something serious could be wrong.

My Janome 6500 doesn't have a very good instruction manual either. If something is knocking, I would first oil whereever you are suppose to put oil. If that doesn't correct it, I would take it in for service or at least call a Janome dealer for troubleshooting.

And, I learned to always re-check the threading, change the needle and remove bobbin lint....sometimes it's just a simple thing.

I hope you made this expensive purchase thru a dealer! I would contact them.

Agree with all the advice listed previously. I had a machine (different one) that was making a loud knocking sound, and it turned out that someone had installed a guard incorrectly, allowing a lever that moved up/down to strike the inside of the covering. No damage done, and quickly resolved when someone who knew what they were doing saw the machine.
