String quilts make up beautifully using scraps and you will be amazed at how small a piece you can use. You can sew more than one scrap piece together if it doesn't fit where you exactly want it but I sew my string quilts on the diagonal and use the smallest for the corners. When all the squares or rectangles are sewn together they make very pretty quilts. Crazy quilts are also great for using scraps but are more work but very, very pretty.
