  I am so sorry for your loss and the fact that he was your best friend. My Mr. Seam Ripper is not my best friend. He comes out to play way too often and I usually say too many bad words when he is there.

    Grace Mitchell: Beautiful Quilt!

I am off today to find a new friend. Any suggestions on what one to buy? :)

I have had a similar tragedy in my life. After I got over the initial shock, I purchased no fewer than 4 seam rippers so I would never have to go through that again. So far so good.

That is so funny because this is what happened to me too. Unfortunately, my new ones aren't as friendly as my old one.

I have two Clovis rippers and love them. Sharp, sharp. They come in cream so if you want another red, have to look at others. You are so creative..cute story. My ripper is called "the reverser". LOL The other one is Froggie because he is always ripping...rippit, rippit.....

How cute!! :-) We have 3 Rippers at our house...one is mine, one is DH's, and one lives on the quilting machine frame. I guess you could say we have Triplet Rippers!! LOL

I got one at Joann's - don't remember the brand, but it has a nice fat handle on it so it feels good while using it.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know my little buddy named Rip and I are very intimate in our sewing projects. I would not be able to do a thing with out him. May you find another that will be just as worthy of your projects. JoAnn

I know how you feel. Somedays I feel like they are my best friends. I have 3 of them in different sizes. And I use all 3. Not at the same time...yet.
