Have a look at my post that shows the tote bag our guild makes for the Women's Shelter.

I like the easy way your guild does the tote bags, I will try this also, and the tote looks good.

I thought of this one right away! I have it bookmarked and am anxious to give it a try!

Craftsy has a free bag making class. I've made a bunch of these:

Craftsy has lots of free patterns for everything from pincushions to clothing. I have downloaded lots of them, which go into my pattern library and are there whenever I want to make something.

In addition to those listed by paperprincess you can go to favequilts.com and bhg.com (a better homes and gardens site). I also have a lot (way too many!!!) of patterns saved from craftsy.com. I like to use my orphan blocks for the front of my totes. A friend gave me a wine tote (insulated) made from one large block made of wine country fabrics. She made it round with a round inserted piece in the bottom. I have been thinking about making some and stashing them away to use as quick-to-grab hostess gifts.
