How about a shed quilt?! I've read just a little on the barn quilts around the country, enough to know they are painted on separate pieces of wood before being hung up. Has anyone here ever painted a quilt block on something outside, something large? LOL I have to repaint our shed this summer and was just thinking....

Carrieg I don't have a barn, but for the longest time I have wanted to make a barn quilt and put it on the roof of my house (attaching without nails naturally). Could I then call it a roof quilt? I just love looking at some of the barn quilt web sites!

    Have fun!

LOL... two by fours would work and a big carpenter's pencil. Then if you add a bolt and nut on the ends of them in the middle where they meet, you would have a huge primative carpenter's square that would be movable for your angles.
