Does the Elmers glue cause any problems with your machine?

Only time I've had a problem is when I got it in a big lump and then it was hard to sew through otherwise no problems at all. Never gummed up my needle. I think the main thing is to let it dry a while before trying to sew on your quilt. Now if I get a big blob I just smooth it out with my finger.

I would like to advise anyone that is using Cans of Spray Glue to make sure you are not near a Furnace for heating home or near open flame as this can cause an explosion. I use the 505 which is excellent but try not to use in winter as where I live in Canada we have to have heat and my sewing room is not far from the furnace room. Just a reminder!!

I've used Sullivan's and June Taylor. The Sullivan's is cheaper, but really stinks, so I would try not to use it in the house. I didn't have a problem with either one gumming up the machine.

i have not had any problems - I use very little in a grid and let it dry completely.

I like 505 as well but I like Elmer's school glue better. Just google it.
