need suggestions
I have a quilt top I need to quilt really quick. What is the best way to do this? Was wondering how hard it would be to do the straight stitch on the machine. How hard is it to keep the lines straight. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Quilting on Machine
Linda,
If you have a walking foot. It is not really hard but you have to figure out a way to move the quilt around and in and out on the machine. I tried rolling it up and working that way. But finally decided that the best way was to just pile the quilt up on the table to my left and manuever it through the stitching process. I have done two queen quilts using my Singer 301 with a walking foot so that the bottom of the quilt does not get bunched up. I have done stitching in the ditch along with a diagonal stitch line through the squares. I am attaching a picture of one of the quilts - hope this helps.

Could you share a picture of the quilt and size that you want to quilt - quickly?
Sometime depending upon the size of the blocks, it is easy to 'eyeball' the straight line from one point to the next.
Also when I machine quilt with my walking foot, I usually extend my stitch length to 3.0 -3.5.
