I used to be a vendor at quilt shows selling applique patterns. There are hundreds of beautiful patterns and of course you can also mix and match as long as you are careful about size. Is there anything in particular you are looking for? I also do applique from photographs now. Yes stitching is necessary if you plan to washthe piece.
