Default Susan McCord's Vine Quilt! Oh my....

It was made in the 1800's and now hanging in the Henry Ford museum.
You can see it here- http://www.commonthreadsquilting.com/
scroll down a few. Is it gorgeous or what? I think I'd get really
tired of appliqueing all the leaves, tho. How unique and original.

Just had to share and get your opinions on it.

It looks like she could have done them in long strips. But still, a lot of work there.

I have that pattern. It is beautiful and looks like it would be a lot of work. She made many quilts and the book I have has a nice article about her. It said she used old fabric for the vines, but used new fabric for the leaves. There are a lot of leaves in the quilt.
