Default Black and white quilt pattern suggestions?

I'm thinking about making a black and white quilt for my grandaughter's wedding but I just can't decide on a design. I am a fairly experienced quilter so I'm not afraid of a challenge. I have over year to do this so time is not a problem. Her wedding colors are going to be black, white and silver. Anyone got any ideas? Also I usually do scrap quilts. Maybe just black and white scraps? I just don't know.

Black and White can be so elegant together. A few years ago I made a black and white Strip Twist -- a Bonnie Hunter pattern which can be found on here: http://quiltville.blogspot.com/2005/06/strip-twist.html My black and white version can be seen here: http://knitnoid.files.wordpress.com/...striptwist.jpg.

My favorite black and white is log cabin in any of its settings. You could use all kinds of black and white prints. It will look fabulous no matter the pattern you choose. I just love black and white quilts!

Why are you leaving the silver out? Why not also find a black with a silver metallic thread in it so that you have all of her color scheme? I think that would be so much more
    reminiscent of her wedding day.

How about Eleanor Burns pattern Night and Day...it is stunning in Black and White and for the third color you could use sliver http://www.quiltinaday.com/shoponlin...ay.asp?i=20490. Here is one with just 2 colors
http://milliesquilting.blogspot.ca/2...nese-coin.html just scroll down to see it.

I think you could use almost any pattern that you like. Right now lime green is my favorite accent color with black and white.
