I'm trying to figure out would this be a good book for me to get. Unless I know I can use it, I don't pay 25$ for a book normally. Convince me, or convince me otherwise, thanks

How I really find a book I have to have is I check them out at the library. I picked a pattern book like that once just because I fell in love w/it at the library and picked it up on ebay for $10 instead of the 30 it would have cost me new:))Skeat

I have that book and I do like it. I bought mine at Half Price Book store for 7.95. Look around I hardly ever pay full price for my quilting books.
Unless if its for a class I'm taking. oh, theyhad a bunch of them not long ago.

I have the book, inherited it from a friend. I mean it's a good book, but with all the free patterns on the net, I don't plan on buying another quilt book, other than the ones I already have. My 2 cents worth. Check out the library also.

I'm not familiar with the book you describe. I suggest that you get something that is very basic. I'm very partial to two books by Diana McClun and Laura Nownes: QUILTS! QUILTS!! QUILTS!!!, THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO QUILTING and QUILTS, QUILTS, AND MORE QUILTS. These books are set up in a manner that one could teach quilting lessons from them. The illustrations are wonderful. The descriptions are very precise and easy to understand. Those are the books I use most of all. (and I have many). Good luck and Happy Quilting.

I have the book , I really like it for looking up block names, they usually have several! If you are wanting it for patterns and instructions, you wont like it. You could draft your own patterns from it but you would have to figure it out on your own. I love the book, but I guess it would depend on what you were wanting it for.

I think it was Ruth Camp who originally posted this link - the cheap "used" books I got from them last year were like new. If I remember right, the postage was cheap, too. Their profits go to promoting literacy. It's a wonderful way to save money and do something good.

I have this book and I like it. It is a good reference to look up blocks. My oldest daughter got it for me,she knows I am a sucker for books especially quilting ones. She has bought me several.
