Of the original materials I either couldn't see them as a large border or there wasn't enough.
Should I go to the store??? I only need about 3 yds.
    Thanks ladies

I love the border! It makes the quilt pop. You have a good eye. Go for it.

I really like how you used the small gold border and then the darker on the outside. Very pretty.

The border looks good to me. The blocks are big enough that the border should be large IMHO.

It does feel a bit "heavy" to me... I think it would be fine if you cut it narrower, and then added a second border, perhaps in a blue from the center.

Hopefully you have made the decision by now. For my eye, I think this border looks just fine. I thought it was blue but others kept saying "brown" so I thought maybe you should change it to a blue. Since it is actually blue and some of that fabric is in the center of the quilt and you have the fabric, I would most definitely go with it. Sometimes we quilters over think a decision and it freezes us up. I know that has happened to me ... a lot. I am sure there are a lot of other perfect fabrics out there to buy that would/could go with this quilt if you made one again but you have a usable fabric so I would go with it. Go with your gut feeling, finish the quilt, them move on to the next one. What is it others have said ....... "Finished is better than perfect"!

I like the border brown fabric-you used it in the body of the quilt and I think it ties it all together . I also would go for the gold binding. Very pretty quilt.

I think it is perfect, but I am in the school of thought that says to contain the action with the border(s).

I like it and would not buy more fabric. I am trying to use as much of my stash as possible before I buy any more.
The border looks good as you have some of that fabric in the center.
