Has anyone ever used old buttons on quilts. Everytime I suggest using buttons everybody looks at me like I'm nuts!

    How about posting pictures too.

Someone just posted a hand pieced, hand quilted one with her Grandmothers buttons on it today. If you have not seen it, look in your Unread Topics list.

I would only put buttons on wallhangings. Just my thought.

I love buttons on quilts---but not for kids.

Buttons on quilts are great! They add just the right zing to any quilt that is not for small children. Flatter buttons are better for bed quilts, while any button works well for wall quilts. Buttons are perfect for any quilt you make!

If buttons are good enough for pajamas and nightgowns, they ought to be good enough for quilts. Just my opinion.

I made an applique and decided to use buttons on it. 168 buttons later......

My friend keeps promising me to take a picture. I'll have to ping her again.

Ouch ouch ouch! My long hair would be hopelessly tangled around buttons on a sleeping quilt! Wall hangings, no problem!
