Default Memory Crafdt 6500

Hey, I just became the owner of a Memory Craft 6500. It seems to be great, it is used but it is in great shape. I think it might be a good one for me to do my Quilt tops on. What is your oppinions on the Machine. Is it a good choice. I value your oppinions.

I love my 6500. I have used a lot of the decorative stitches for quilting. I have had mine since 2004 and did all my quilting on it until I bought a longarm in 2011. I have several ribbons for Best Machine Quilting and it was all done on my Janome. You will love it.

Thanks for your reply, I am looking forward to using it. I am just learning to do FMQ, so I have lots to learn and lots of practice.

I got my 6500 used off Craigslist and I LOVE it. It is my preferred machine for FMQ.

I have an earlier Janome 6260QC and love it. Now I also have the 7700 Horizon and love it even more, the smaller machine is now my back up/go to class machine.
I love the Janome brand and find their machines to be very user friendly. Enjoy yours!!

I have the 6600 (which I think is really similar, except it also has Acufeed) and I LOVE it. Such a workhorse - it zooms right over layers and layers of fabric without even changing tone.

I am terrible at FMQ so far, but I'm positive that's my defect, not the machine's.

I used to have a 6500, then a 6600, and now a 7700. I love them all! You should enjoy the machine. There's a Yahoo group for owners of the 6500/6600 which may be helpful in getting to know your machine.

I think Janome is a great Machine, I had a MC9000 for years. I wanted just a sewing machine. So far I love this one. What I was looking for was one to FMQ on and I think this one will do the trick, will look up the Yahoo Group and see what ios going on there. Thanks you all for your input, love this group!!!!!!

I looked at the 7700 yesterday. they had a great deal going on for it. I wished I had it, maybe later on. We have a wonderful family who have the shop here that sells Janome. I love going in there and yes Janome is a great machine. I think they are one of the best.
