Starting today, the US Post Office is not going to accept any mail bound for Canada unless it is sent by Global Express (which I think is partnered with FedEx). This will affect anyone in Canada who buys fabric from the US.

Canadian forum members, do you have any idea how long the strike will last? Apparently things are not going well...

They may legislate them back to work next week, but that's never a "happy" thing.

Is it only certain departments that are on strike?

Can Canada Post function without all the workers back on the job?

The workers of Canada Post were doing rotating strikes that only affected certain towns and cities every day, but then Canada Post the company locked down because they said they were loosing too much profit. So since last Tuesday, the 21st, no mail has been delivered. The government is tabling a motion to order the lockout over and the workers back to work, and that will possibly happen early next week.
