    Remember this quilt top.

    http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-62374-1.htm

Was so happy that I finally got it finished but now two LA women have said they cannot quilt it for me because of the embroidery on it. They do not feel that they could do it justice. One of them said she is not that good at free hand and that is what it needs aroud the embroidered areas. Are they just saying they do not want to do it? Pretty bumbed right now as I was so looking forward to seeing it finished. Still searching for someone cause I really want it finished. Do you think will be that difficult to quilt? I don't know and I don't think I could do it myself either. Guess I will not do another with embroidery and applique on it. Sure hope I can find someone here that will tackle it though.

You should contact Green Fairy from this board. She does absolutely exquisite LA work and is located in Utah. However, I know she was expecting a baby and can't remember the due date but I think it is close. So she may not be up to quilting right now. We have loads of great LA quilters on the board here that will do custom work. Heck, I would offer to do it for you but I am only just beginning so am not confident to do someone else's quilt just yet.

By the sounds of it, both LA you contacted sound like they only do pantos.

PS, your top is really cute and I agree an E2E panto would not do this quilt justice. It really needs some nice echo quilting or custom work done to compliment the applique.

well I missed it when you posted it but I love it! and I agree it needs custom quilting, you may have to send it off (over here) to have it done but there are plenty of people who can add to the beauty, now it won't be cheap, custom work means they go to a lot of trouble but I'm sure you'll be pleased.

candlequilter has a sale going on until Christmas.

Your quilt is so pretty!! You are lucky that the L.A.Q. was so honest. I would much rather hear that she couldn't do justice to the quilt, rather than just going ahead and doing "something" and ruining all of your hard work. I would give her a big hug!

    Your quilt is beautiful! :D:D:D

First I want to say kudos to the LA's you contacted. If they were not comfortable trying to quilt this beauty, it is awesome they said so up front :D I would rather be told "No" than have someone say yes and not do a very good job on it

I agree, it needs some creative thought and quilting around the embroidery so that it doesn't get lost in the quilting. I am sure you can find someone with the skills to do it justice :D:D:D

I agree, I would rather they say no than ruin the top. I guess I just never thought it through and didn't realize it would be difficult to quilt. Oh well, maybe it will have to wait until I win the lottery! LOL

I agree that your quilt top should be custom quilted! It's beautiful. Check out Green Fairy, as mentioned before, and another one who does beautiful custom work is Natalia Bonner, at Piece N Quilt (http://piecenquilt.blogspot.com/) check out their work and contact them. it will be gorgeous!!
