I would love to make both the card trick and strata star spin. Just seem to pick another pattern or make one up.
    Yours is beautiful Macy.

The Card Trick is comprised of squares and rectangles, rotated 45°, yet every pattern I find uses triangles, which means more seams - and bias ones at that. Does anyone have an existing pattern using squares and rectangles?

you can do the four card as squares and rectangles, but many are made using pieced blocks, and then you need triangles to get the look of a four sided square. A lot would depend on how your fabric is going to look, I think I may go with three squares . . .

For 8, you can't get around using triangles.

Sorry, Cathy, I should have said Card Trick, where the visible part is a square (and a rectangle). That's the pattern I'm looking for - or will have to create.

Macybaby, I love your rainbow cabinet cover. And because it's made with many different colors, it doesn't look like a swastika!
