I love to do dense quilting but I let the quilt's use determine how much quilting it actually needs. I love all quilts: tied, hand quilted, machine quilted.

I also admire those that are quilted with fantastic designs. I can't do that (yet), but maybe someday. I'll be honest that I've not had the overriding desire yet to do them, but I certainly admire the skill needed.

I like the dense quilting for others. I prefer to quilt mine with a large stipple or meandering . Different strokes for different folks.

Imhave decided that I am not fan of heavy quilting. I make quilts to be used and I find they are not soft and cuddly with heavy quilting. I am now tying more quilts and starting to do hand quilting, particularly big stitch quilting.

Green Fairy Quilts is where I fell in love with the dense quilting. It is the combination of vibrant colors and quilting that caught my attention

I don't like the tightly quilted quilts. It is just to busy & takes away from the quilt itself. If you want to show off quilting do a all in one quilt no piecing - just my opinion

I love the intricate quilting and so admire those who can do it. But for everyday use, the fluffy quilts feel so good.

I have never been a fan of heavy quilting. I've seen too many that totally obliterate the piecing. I want to be able to see the pattern of the quilt. More is not necessarily better in this case. I will admit I admire the talent and time it takes to quilt theses items but for the most part I don't feel it enhances the quilt. I want a quilt to be soft and cuddly not stiff as a board.

I like to see the different patterned fabrics in the quilts and on those pieces I don't like to see heavy quilting. On the plain parts however, the quilt designs really enhance the theme of the quilts.

I know I will never be one of those whose quilting motifs are drooled over, but that's okay. I have the utmost respect and am in awe of those who make it seem effortless, but I will probably always be a simple-thread quilter!
