I have been traveling some lately therefore I have googled local fabrics shops for the areas where I'm going. I havve been aggrivated to find that some shops are closed. I wish those businesses could tell ggogle to remove them from their sites. I have wasted much time and gas.

I think they should be removed too.

Maybe a phone call ahead would help out. I was thinking about that too. We are planning a little trip and someone told me that.

it is always a good idea to phone ahead- small businesses close- some are in peoples homes- and have limited hours-
before wasting gas call ahead and avoid disappointment-
and keep in mind also- many small quilt shops are not open on Sundays- some have very short hours on Saturdays-
a simple phone call can make a huge difference.

Maybe the economy has closed a bunch! I am happy to say in our area they all seem to be doing okay!

But if you click on a Google link, does it still take you to the LQS website? Or are these stores that don't have websites, just a google map?

I know what you mean! I made a trip to Waynesville, OH last fall to go to the Fabric Shack. I googled and found addresses for 6 LQS along our way. Sadly, 5 of them were out of business!!!

We closed out storefront 6 years ago - kept the phone number for repairs & commissions but with our own info.

Whenever I Google us we show up with the old info. I have no idea what idiot or group of idiots keeps putting old info online. (Idiot is being kind.)
