it seems to take them forever to take shops off after closing i wonder if it is because they need to hear it from the horses mouth

Except for an occasional sale add in the local paper or a HS function, the phone book was it. We cancelled out Yellow Pages adds. DH was not - is not computer 'literate'. NO online stuff.

Online is good for so much but on occasion messes up. The messes seem to grow & grow like rabbits or stashes.

One store I was trying tonfind have three addresses and one phone number. I did call the number, I just didn't ask if all three addresses were good. Of course, the last address I went to was the current one. Yes, I will call from now on. thanks.

Google is simply a search engine. They don't verify anything, nor is that part of their function. It's not like any kind of list they maintain.

As long as the information exists on the web, it will show up, old or new or both. And information exists on the web pretty much forever...at least until they change the way it operates.

in the current economy it would be best to call first.
