the color in your sewing room??

Mine is a light pinky lilac, with a medium blue carpet. I inherited the carpet, but before I painted the walls, they were a dark turqoise with bright, lime green stencilled squares up near the ceiling - not my taste at all.

I am almost done with the sale of our house, and when I took down all the quilts from the walls pinned patterns I didn't want to loose and drawings from the kids, I found walls that were yellow on the top half and green on the bottom half. It u to be my son's nursery. My new room is white, but again, soon I intend not to see much of the walls. I will have a design wall now, not too big, but is there.

Mine is wallpapered. :-)
Judging by all the sewing rooms I've seen on here, and in the Quilting Library link (Sewing Rooms), in the Links section, I'd say go with whatever your heart desires. You're the one who needs to want to be in there! :-)
Post a picture when you get it done?

I cannot say what my room is, as I don't have one. But, reading the comments on reflective colors, possibly changing the look of your fabric, I think I would make one wall the off white to get true colors perspective. Maybe the one closest to your window. Then get loving and crazy on the other walls, that will be behind the shelves and cabinets, around the closets and doors etc. Put your favorite colors in areas you will see as you work, but not where you will have the best light to analyize the colors of your fabrics. I think the colors in your room should reflect your personality and inspire you to creation.
