Default Cost of sewing machine service.

I was wondering how much you pay for a maintenance service on your mechanical and computerized sewing machines.

I just paid $60 for each machine I took in for service and maintenance. That is his starting price. If he finds anything wrong he will call and let you know additional cost. I was blessed there was no serious problems with mine. This was for both mechanical and computerized.

I took my Bernina in last fall and it was around 80.00
I maintain my mechanicals by myself unless there is something I can't fix. There's a guy locally who does a good job at a good price but he is waaaay backed up.
Something interesting- he has hundreds of machines in his little shop and told me some people never come back for them! Can you imagine????

I have a Janome 6600 and I think it is about $65.00 to get it serviced and it purrs like a kitten when everything is cleaned up. I should do it more often but I can't bear to part with my machine for more than 3 days.

My OSMG told me the same! He used to own a Bernina store so does a lot of those. He even had one women sell him her 2 year old machine for a song. I guess she just didn't want to pay the repairs. He bought it for his wife. I can't imagine.
