Default Crescendo Machine Good Price $4000

Good Morning Everyone!

My local dealer has offered me $4000 for a babylock crescendo. She is not offering finance and it is only for the month of April. Is this a good deal? I haven't been researching the market for long and need to know if this is a good deal. I did notice on a review on the net that someone paid $3500 last year for one and I am surprised that the price is going up rather than down. All advice is welcome.

I would contact a few dealers to get the best price.

Its going for 5000 in california, those that got 3, most got it as an introductory offer when it was new and not released, 4000 is a good price, not sure why she is not offering financing though, I financed my 2000 dollar machine at my dealer. Also some have traded in machines which may also discount the machine.

Hayes Sewing in Wilmington DE sells it for $3500. Financing comes around every month and a half or so, and they are good about telling you when it is. Maybe they would work with you to have it shipped directly.

My Longarm will have financing from the 25th-29th of April, and I won't be ready for it yet, so I asked and they are going to call me when the next dates are released.

I'd for sure search out a different dealer. Maybe I should go into a business buying them in Delaware and selling them in California LOL.

They are well over $4000 at my dealer. My dealer told me that if I financed my machine they would have to charge me more because they have to pay more for the machine from baby lock if its a financed machine... maybe that's why she wont finance.

I bought my Crescendo in March and paid $4500 for it and don't regret it at all, love the machine!

Thanks to all of you for responding. I will check out another dealer. I want to be sure I have it all right before I "introduce" my DH to the idea. :-}.

I bought a used 7570 about 13 years ago and told him at that time I would never need another machine. I didn't realize then I would want to get into quilting. It pieces great, but I am having a dickens of a time squeezing the material under the harp. Can't afford to send out and this seems it might work out. Of course, I betcha I could pay for quite a few artists to finish my quilts on their LA for the price of this machine. Especially since I have been working since Oct of 2012 to finish my first quilt!!!
