I've been meaning to take a pix of the designs on the retaining walls for several years. Easter Sunday I had my camera and I got a few quick shots as we were driving by.
Whether they will ever be made into a quilt, I don't know. More likely they will join others in a file of patterns of tiles and carvings.
I thought you might like to see them

I agree -- it's fun to re-arrange things. The interesting thing about these squares is that it is sort of a drunkards path but off center and the corners are "stripes" that are straight lines.

The elevators on the cruise ship I was just on had beautiful tile floors. I took pictures of several of them so I could make quilt blocks some day. They were beautiful, but my kids said "what is that a picture of"? They thought I was a little crazy. If I ever figure out how to post pictures, with a little help from my children, I will post the pictures.
