Finally got those blasted corners to meet well enough to pass the galloping horse test - no they're not perfect - yes they're staying that way! I can finally start QUILTING!
Was looking at it and wondering what quilt pattern to use on the tree trunks. Then I started thinking I could put a trapunto layer under the tree and the palm fronds and do light quilting over it.
What do you think?
BTW - this is the older pic. I haven't taken a new one after I fixed the corners.

I think trapunto would look great in those tree trunks. Then in the fronds you can Trapunto on some of them to give texture. Go to Leah Day's site and try to find her posts about constructing one of her "goddess" quilts, I think it was "My cup runneth over" she did that with the goddess hair and it was so cool to only trapunto parts of it and heavily quilt other parts.
