Just a few minutes ago as I was reading over the topics I saw someone was looking for directions for a quilt that looked like boxes with shadows. The pic was with the quilt on a bed. I can't even remember the name of the silly pattern. I didn't mark it because I didn't figure I had it, but while looking for another pattern I think I found it. I just saved the directions and forgot to add the link, but I'd be glad to send off the directions in a PM if I can find the poster. I can't post a pic like I wanted to, sorry.

Bless you sadiemae! I am going to put mine here for all that are interested.

Sorry the writing is upside down, but the measurements are in the list.

Shadowed Blocks
50” x 64”

from Background fabric
A. Cut 1- 2 ½” x 14½”
B. Cut 1 - 2 ½” x 10½”
C. Cut 1 - 2 ½” x 5½”
F. Cut 1 - 2 ½” x 3½”

Center block “I”
cut 1 - 6 ½” x 6½”

from Shadow fabric
D. Cut 1 - 2 ½” x 7½”
E. Cut 1 - 2 ½” x 9½”

from Frame fabric
H. Cut 1- 2 ½” x 6½”
G. Cut 2 - 2 ½” x 8½”
B. Cut 1- 2 ½” x 10½”

Makes one 14” finished block
Note: yardage amounts are not listed, since this quilt can be made
scrappy or with all identical colored blocks . Ό” seam allowance used
throughout. 50” x 64” quilt requires 12 blocks (14”finished)
Piece 12 blocks:
Join C & D and E & F. Press seams & set aside until needed.
Build this simple block working log cabin style by joining center block
I & strip H, work clockwise adding G, G & B. Repeat with
background & shadow fabric...starting with strip B, followed by C/D,
E/F & A*. Pressing seams as needed.
Join blocks in 3 vertical rows of 4 blocks.
Borders
1st border of background fabric is only on 2 sides. The right (2 ½” x 56
½”) & bottom (2 ½” x 42 ½”). To save fabric these lengths can be cut
cross-grain & pieced.
2nd border consists of 2 strips of shadow fabric & 2 strips of background
fabric.
Cut 1 of each size shadow border fabric - 3 Ό” x 58 ½”(right side)* and
3Ό” x 47Ό” (bottom edge)
Cut 1 of each size background border fabric- 3 Ό” x 47Ό” (top edge)
and 3Ό” x 64” (left side)
Suggested ideas:
Photo printed blocks in center squares
Assorted “I Spy” blocks in center squares
*Optional piecing technique: Complete 12 blocks minus section “A”.
From background fabric cut 4 sashing strips - 2 ½” x 56 ½”. Sew 3
vertical rows of blocks separated by background fabric sashing. Stitch
1 strip on right & left sides. Notice this replaces the 1st right border.
