What is the difference between batiks and bali.
Could you use both in a nyb?
I can`t beleive the prices on hayloft. Very good for us Canadians. I emailed to see what shipping costs are.

"Bali Batiks" are batiks made in Bali, an island in Indonesia. "Batik" is the name of the process and "Batiks" can be made anywhere, including Bali, and usually in Indonesia or Malaysia for commercial purposes, but could be Cleveland as well. More about batiks here. http://www.batiks.com/a_batik.html You can certainly use both in a NYB or anything else with no trouble at all! Have fun...sounds yummy!!

I always prewash my batiks, some bleed a lot, others not so much  but then make sure you prewash the other fabrics too...all or nothing is a good rule of thumb :D:D:D
Batiks will make stunning NYB's!!!

It depends on the size of your blocks, and the individual pieces...
Print out your block, look at or cut out the different components, factor in seam allowances, will you be able to get enough of the background pieces out of that size piece? Will you be able to get enough spikes out of each one?
