My question if you take a look, it almost looks as if there is sashing between the cuts. That is the only thing i can figure. In any case it is very pretty. Thought I could copy and paste, but it will not work. So have included a link. The top one has prairie points and it is nice as well.

I think what looks like sashing between the cuts on the 2nd one may be the shadow from the seam allowances on the back of the quilt top. The photo must have been taken with the sun behind it. I agree with you, they are both pretty patterns.

I like the variation. I'm looking for quick graduation quilts so I will keep this in mind. Thank you.

This is a little confusing, but having made several d9p's, my doesn't look like that. I clicked on the blue line and there is a "second page" with d9p!

No, I don't think it is a shadow. It does look like some kind of double stitching or ribbon or something....can't seem to figure that out. Do you know how to get in touch withthis person? looks so interesting.

I agree, it is a backlit view of the wrong side of the quilt. I have a similar picture of a quilt I made, it looks like stained glass. Kinda neat!

I have made the disappearing 9 patch. Its kind of fun rearranging them to create your own design.
