Digital quilt pictures
I receive many emails and catalogs selling or providing quilt patterns. I love selecting patterns this way but have real difficulty visualizing my quilt when the pictures provided are digital without actual fabrics shown. Even some kit projects are displayed this way. I know many of you use EQ7 very successfully, but do any of you also have trouble visualizing an actual quilt from a digital image? Also, has anyway bought one of these kits and been happy with the results?

This won't help you I know, but I have not seen a quilt pattern like this. I've bought patterns online that are downloaded and then printed out but they always have a color picture showing the pattern. It would be a problem for me to not see a color example, my imagination is just not that good, even if I end up using different colors than those shown. There are so many patterns and options available, pretty sure I wouldn't bother with that one.

I'm doing one right now that is just a digital picture. It's not so well-written. I even said to my husband, "I wonder if anyone ever actually MADE this quilt or if it is just a concept." When I search it on the 'net, I don't find one image except the original pattern, which is rare.
Not sure I would do another unless I could see that someone had made the actual quilt before.

Do you mean you are wanting it to show actual fabrics in the photo instead of just color? I may be just the opposite--when I see a quilt in a magazine it seems like they always try to use every fabric in a fabric line and I need to see it in the color block diagram to really "see" it.
In EQ7 you can add your fabrics or use color either.
