I do not prewash fabrics before making projects, so I give 1 or 2 color catchers to the those I gift quilts. no one has had any problems with bleeding fabric. they are indeed great!

Thanks for that info. I thought they worked but I'm really a believer now.

What brand of color catchers did you use? I think some work better than others.

I couldn't do without Color Catchers! Started using them when washing Raggy Quilts (The fabric can't be pre-washed in these.) Discovered it really worked, even when a quilt had black, red, and white squares! Now I use them in all colored laundry!

I'll have to try & remember to look when I'm in the laundry room. I know it is a red box.

I make sure to prewash all fabric brought into my home. The ugliness I've seen at one quilt store made me glad I did. I also can't stand the smell/odor of the fabric in the store. Pre catchers are always next to my detergent. I also throw in a white wash cloth or towel to help take up the slack.

The only color catchers I know of and have seen are those put out by 'SHOUT". It says right on the box, color catchers.
