I found a box of Oxiclean Colorcatchers at the thrift store with a couple of sheets left in it. I don't have a new quilt to wash at this point but wondered if any of you have used them and if they work. This before I go hunting for a new box. I thought it would be a nice thing to add to the gift bag with a new quilt.
    Thanks!

Yes, they do...I use colorcatchers, when needed, in doing my regular laundry if there's something I think will fade or when washing red...works like a charm...

I'm so glad to hear this as I'm working on a quilt not that has a collor that runs so I'll have to get some and wash the quilt when I get it done. It'll be awhile before I get it done tho. But it is nice to know they work. Thanks, Huggies, Fay

I've been using the ones made by Shout and I can assure you they work ... very well.

I recently bought 5 1/2 yds of red fabric to use as backing on a Quilt of Valor. When I washed it in hot water, I threw in three Color Catchers because I knew it would run. Sure enough, when I removed the Color Catchers, they were bright pink.

I use them all the time now.

I get mine at the grocery store. Not too hard to find.
