This is a neat idea, and looks like an easy quilt to make, and sounds like a good cause, for donation to Veterans:

I'm in! I bought a "surprise" box of fabric at our thrift shop and it had dozens of already cut 5" squares of all different types of fabric. I've been wondering what I could do with them. They are mostly darker colored prints and I'm more into pastels. I love buying those huge boxes of fabric scraps for usually 3 or 5 dollars, depending on size and finding really neat gifts like pre-cuts. Makes all the washing and ironing worthwhile. Thanks. I added that web site to my favorites too.

There is a link on the link I gave. It shows the pattern.

Glad you all like it! I don't have "stash" but I think it's cool you get some good deals and now have found something to do with it!

I'll have to see what stash I have. If we are not painting on those 2 days, I can participate.

To other poster: A twin sized quilt is what they are looking for.

This is great for Project Linus or Quilts for Kids. I have lots of 5" blocks so will try this. Looks like it whips up in a flash. Thanks for sharing.
