any hand-dyes; batiks- that are dark should be pre-washed if you are worried about bleeding at all- or at least tested- doesn't matter if they are from connecting threads or from Batiks plus, hoffmans, or where---
hand dyes & batiks often have excess dye and will run if not taken care of before using....
