I don't, but it sounds like fun! Only one of my friends quilt, and she lives 1,000 miles away!! We do talk about it often, and exchange pics, but not the same! Go for it!!

I go to my neighbor's house once in a while, maybe every other week for a couple hours. Help her with her projects mostly. She has 5 cats and that is about all I can take. She's a sweet person but the cat hair is all over. She quilts her own quilts, nothing for a business. Too much cat hair. I don't stay long sometimes not even an hour when the cats get really playful. Fur just flies! My niece comes over once in a while and works on projects. She is quite accomplished for 10 and mostly self taught with YouTube. But we have a good time.

I sew most Saturdays with my best friend, always at my house. I have all the good toys☺ I don't get a lot done if she needs help, but so what. We have a great time.

I get together with a few ladies every Monday and love it. We take turns bringing lunch and we all work on our own projects. It also gives me inspiration and sometimes give or get help with a new idea

I would love to have a friend to quilt with but sadly none of my friends quilt and are not interested in learning. .

I am probably the wrong person to comment on this. I've been quilting a little less than 2 years and am self taught. Never been to a quilting class, never been to a quild. I've donated most of my quilts. I prefer the solitude so I can concentrate. If I were a "hand" quilter, I could socialize and stitch too as I have done this with other needle work. And often I do not use a pattern ... I let the fabrics tell me how they want to laid out- Ha.

However, you 2 are friends. I would probably make time to work with her some to keep her encouraged about quilting.

I need to sew by myself. I do better work that way. I really don't even like to take classes because it is a distraction hearing others talking and asking questions. I like to socialize, so I end up not getting much done.

I quilt with a select friend or two that know what they are doing. I went to one class with a newbie to quilting and got nothing done on my own project. Then.... Repeated calls to go to her house to "help" finish her project. ......... Lesson learned.... I don't help any more because the work ends up being mine and the credit for the project hers We remain friends but not sewing buddies.
