It seems a simple one but I haven't seen it anywhere with a name on it. Thanks!

My book calls it "Snowball" or "Snowball Variation"

Fatquartershop has a free pattern using that block. Looks like thats where that block came from....top middle block.

I've always seen it called snowball block as well. I think it is a very old pattern.
